In the mountains of the Belluno area, ARR! Animation Artists Residency is a space dedicated to animation, research, and the time needed to develop a project. The residency brings together the experience of Piattaforma Lago, Lago Film Residency and Lago Film Fest with that of Dolomiti Hub and Cortino – International Animation Festival for Children and Young People. It is open to animators and animation filmmakers of any nationality, age and level of experience, with a project at any stage of development: research, conception, writing, production or post-production.
The aim is to offer time and space to work independently on a project, without the need to arrive with a work to complete or to finish it during the residency.
Dolomiti Hub is a space dedicated to work, culture, innovation and community in Fonzaso, at the foot of the Dolomites. In this context, ARR! aims to create a temporary space where the solitude needed for artistic research can coexist with encounters, exchange and the discovery of a place.
Piattaforma Lago works on the research, production and dissemination of artistic projects aimed at activating communities in peripheral areas, generating cultural and social well-being through processes of listening, reinterpretation and the enhancement of international micro-communities. With ARR! Animation Artists Residency, we want to extend this experience to animation, creating a new space for research, work and exchange in the mountains of the Belluno area for animators from all over the world.
