Fulvio Risuleo

Progetto sviluppato a Lago Film Residency:
Prometeo

Fulvio Risuleo was born in Rome in 1991. The son of artists specializing in painting, from a very young age Lievito Madre (2014) and Varicella (2015) were presented at the respective editions of the Cannes Film Festival, the latter even winning best short film at the “Semaine de la Critique.” His debut in the world of feature films is a visionary and courageous film, reminiscent of the craftsmanship of early Wes Anderson or Michel Gondry. It is titled Guarda in alto (Look Up), which he describes as “a road movie on the rooftops of Rome,” and stars the talented Giacomo Ferrara (already acclaimed in Suburra – La Serie). After competing in Rome and Rotterdam, the film will be released in Italian theaters on October 18, 2018. As a comic book artist, he has published the books Pixel (2016), L’Idra indecisa (2018), Sniff (2019), and Passatempo (2020). As a director, he directed his second feature film, Il colpo del cane, in 2019. In the same year, he created the first Italian interactive web series Il caso Ziqqurat, an eight-part detective story. In 2022, he once again directed Edoardo Pesce in the film Notte fantasma, presented at the Venice Film Festival.
