Fabio Velardi

German by birth but Italian in his heart, Fabio Velardi has always been obsessed with visual writing. Firstly, he graduates in Film Studies, then he studies screenwriting at the Leo Benvenuti School and eventually he attends the Executive Course in Writing for Animation at the Civica Luchino Visconti, in partnership with Movimenti Production. In 2025, he is selected to pitch at Avrei questa idea by Giffoni Hub, he achieves third place in the Pitch me! Contest of Cartoons on the Bay and he wins the Sonego Award in the Shortmovie Screenplay section.

The project

Jessica and Damiano, a young couple of hitmen, are hired by a mother to kill her eight-year-old son. Posing as babysitters, they attempt to carry out the job at the grandmother’s house. “Nothing could be simpler,” they think… except that the angel-faced child turns out to be a real little devil. Loosely based on a true story, this “Home Alone”-style chase will lead to a completely unexpected outcome.
